Judan Law Offices is a Philippine law firm primarily engaged in company formation, business registration, corporate structuring, legal advisory, real estate law, labor law, immigration law and commercial litigation. JLO was founded by Atty. Dennis Joseph D. Judan, who has nearly 20 years of experience in these fields, He is also the author of the groundbreaking book entitled Philippine Visas and Work Permits: A Quick Guide to Philippine Immigration (2018).

Responsive Lawyering

During his years in Philippine law practice, DDJ, as he is known in JLO, realized, in his interactions with clients, that if there was just one (1) trait, aside of course from competence, that such clients looked for in a lawyer, it was RESPONSIVENESS. DDJ therefore defined this word to his colleagues and staff in JLO as follows:

Responsiveness on the part of a lawyer towards a client is the habitual, consistent and unswerving practice of quickly, appropriately and sensitively anticipating, responding to and attending to such client’s legal needs, requirements, instructions and requests in a competent, professional, ethical and pleasant manner.

This is the benchmark which DDJ laid out for everyone in JLO. It is a very difficult standard to achieve and maintain, and no lawyer or law firm can honestly claim to do so with anything approaching perfection. Nevertheless, this is the standard which JLO seeks to achieve. It is the promise that our law firm makes to existing and prospective clients, whether it is verbalized to them or not.
